I am Senior Vice President, Global Engineering, Pitney Bowes Inc., responsible for establishing and managing the complete range of operations in R&D for Pitney Bowes in various locations across the world including India, where I am also the Managing Director. I lead the global R&D portfolio of high growth line of business – Digital Commerce, spearheading new initiatives and leading global engineering teams. I am also responsible for overseeing the delivery and execution of Pitney Bowes’ R&D, Global Professional Services and Support, based out of Noida and Pune.

I have been associated with Pitney Bowes for more than 15 years. I had started my journey with the company at its Headquarter in New York. In 2007, and moved to India as an expatriate to start-up the India operations. As the first employee of the company, I was responsible for setting up the India operations and lead cross-functional teams to deliver value, consistently, on business goals. I was instrumental in shaping the company’s growth to over 600 people strong team within 6 years, with 45+ different software product teams under my leadership and two strategically important centres in the country. And in this journey, the setup has earned more than 20 top accolades in the country including Top 5 IT employers in the country, Top 20 Great Place to Work, Aon Hewitt’s Top Company for Leaders, DataQuest Top 20, NASSCOM Diversity awards, Asia’s Best Employer and many more. I’m passionate about innovation, building new businesses and developing people and I also recently led the efforts behind launching of a start-up accelerator, the 4th such corporate incubator in the country, and am actively involved in the ecosystem.

I am serving on the advisory board of a few startups along with serving as the founding member of Catalyst India (founding member along with TK Kurien as chair). I am also Chair- IT, Delhi Management Association, a core member of NASSCOM Regional Council, India CEO Forum, Indo- US Chamber of Commerce, European Union Chamber of Commerce, TiE and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). I am also on the Governing Council for ETASHA Society that provides vocational training, placement, employability skills training and career guidance to the youth from disadvantaged sections of the society.

I completed my MBA from Anderson School of Management, UCLA and Harvard Business School, and also have a degree in Architecture.

All India Management Association (AIMA)

Manish is also part of the AIMA, the national apex body of the management profession in India, which was formed in 1957.

Indo American Chambers of Commerce

Manish is also part of the IACC. Established in 1968, the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) is a non-government, industry led and industry-managed organization, playing a proactive role in Indias development process.

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)

Member of FICCI, the largest and oldest apex business organisation in India. A non-government, not-for-profit organisation,  FICCI is the voice of India’s business and industry.

National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN)

Manish is also part of the NHRD Network, National HRD Network is committed to the development of human resources through education, training, research and experience sharing.

TiE

Manish is also part of TiE. The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region. There are currently 13,000 members, including over 2,500 charter members in 61 chapters across 17 countries.

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)

Manish is also part of  CII. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry in India, partnering industry and government alike through advisory and consultative processes.

Indian Angel Network

Indian Angel Network is a network of Angel investors keen to invest in early stage businesses which have potential to create disproportionate value. The members of the Network are leaders in the Entrepreneurial Eco-System as they have had strong operational experience as CEOs or a background of creating new and successful ventures. They share a passion to create scale and value for startup ventures.

ETASHA Society

ETASHA Society is a not-for-profit society providing vocational training with placement as well as employability skills training and career guidance to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in India.
